What Sort of People Use a Ghostwriter?
I often get asked about who my clients are, and while I can’t name the majority of them due to NDAs and privacy agreements, I can talk about the kind of people that generally need my services.
You might be surprised to learn that they come from all different walks of life – I’ve worked with immigrants and lawyers, economists and marketers, parents and sportspeople, engineers and agents, and many more besides.
So, who needs to use a ghostwriter? It’s not simply one category of people, but rather any and all of the following:
- People who don’t have the time to write a book but have a story they want to tell
- People who are famous or known for being skilled in a different field than writing
- People who want to write a book but feel daunted by the physical task of writing
- People who know a book would support their business but don’t want to write it
- People who have tried and failed to write a book but still want to get it published
- People who are fantastic talkers but so-so writers
- People who don’t know how to structure and organise a book
- People who would rather pay for convenience and speed than spend their own time and effort
- People who don’t want to spend a decade learning how to write a book before getting one published under their name
- People who could never concentrate at school and prefer talking ideas through than writing them down
- People who feel held back by dyslexia but know they are great storytellers
- People who see a book as a collaborative project, not a solo effort
- People who want a book written on behalf of an older family member, not themselves
- People who want to record the history of a family, an organisation, or an experience through multiple eyes
- People who already have a course that they teach and just need to turn it into a book
- People who have dreamed of writing a novel for years and never quite made it happen
- People who wrote a book but now recognise it needs retooling into a bestseller
- People whose marketing team want them to write a book, but who don’t care about the book themselves
- People who are bursting with ideas but can’t seem to follow through
- People who want to write a book as a duo or team and recognise they need one writer to keep it smooth and streamlined
In short, there are about as many types of people who want to use a ghostwriter as there are books in the world! To find out if we’d be a good fit to work together, we can chat during a no-strings-attached free consultation. Book yourself in here!
