This book had me intrigued from the start: sports star plus theatre nerd, and all the drama of a troubled past together? Sign me up!
I wasn't disappointed. The format has alternating chapters between past and present so we slowly get to discover exactly what happened between the main characters in high school, and why it's taken until the end of college for them to begin to talk to one another again. Caleb's clearly hurting but Nathan is absolutely determined to put things right.
It's a joy watching them unravel the mistakes of the past as well as the misunderstandings that led to them. There's a sweet happy ending as well as hints towards an even happier future, which is much deserved for both of them. I couldn't wait for them to get together and it was lovely to read.

Loved: The angst and the attraction between the two of them. This was a slow burn waiting for them to admit and realise they needed to be together, and the payoff was beautiful!
Liked: The side characters. Lowell sounds like a lot of fun and alot of the other characters were intriguing as well - a fully fleshed-out cast.
Disliked: Some of the scenes felt a bit superfluous, especially towards the end. Once they were together I kind of rushing to finish it and hoping to find out more about their friends.
Burning Question: Will Lowell and Brent get together?! And what happened in Chicago?! I've got a feeling there's going to be a chance to find out...
I received a free ARC copy of this book but my review is my genuine opinion.
It's time to leave college and the closet behind...
Nathan Rhodes has put hockey first for most of his life, but as graduation looms, he has a different goal in mind. He needs to come out and reclaim his first love. If only Caleb will believe him...
Theater geek Caleb Stockwell gave up on love when his boyfriend chose the closet over being with an openly bisexual guy. Now, he hides his heartbreak behind a string of casual hookups. He loves the drama on stage, but he’s done with the drama of Nathan Rhodes. For good.
Nathan is determined to right the wrongs of four years ago, but the clock is ticking.
One month until he and Caleb go their separate ways. One month to take a final shot at winning Caleb's heart back.
Win or lose, everything is on the line.
