A bit of news about an old project - which is becoming a new project again!
A long while ago I started up a Patreon and put serialised chapters of a fantasy novel, Fall From Grace, on Medium. Support was a bit spotty and I had a hard time spreading the word via Medium. At that time I was even rated as one of the top writers in fiction there, but the effort didn't seem to pay off - people weren't interested in reading fiction as part of the Medium membership, at least not in large enough quantities, so I let the project rest and focused on short stories instead.
Recently, though, I've been filling some quarantine downtime by reading comics on Tapas, and I saw they host novels too. Well, I thought I'd give it a try. I've started uploading Fall From Grace on Tapas and it will be going up for free there over the next six weeks at minimum, and hopefully longer if I start to see good readership numbers. I'd actually like to get the whole epic tale out there week by week if it's possible!
It's long - already at 70,000 words and I only wrote the very first arc. It gives me lots of time before I need to write any more to keep up with demand, haha. There are a lot of twists and turns in the tale, and if you like Serial Investigations, I think there's a very good chance you'll like Fall From Grace - even though it's in the fantasy genre, it has a lot of the darkness, the twists, and the common themes you'll see elsewhere in my work. I don't want to spoil too much, but there are also some epic characters to fall in love with (I personally have a serious soft spot for Jackdaw, even if he comes across pretty badly at first!)
Anyway, do go ahead and check it out on Tapas - you can subscribe if you're a member or just bookmark it and come back later.
